The Eden Police Department released surveillance photos of the robbery an Internet sweepstakes and bingo parlor located on Bridge Street.

It was the fourth armed robbery investigation assigned to police detectives in a week’s time.

According to Lt. Clint Simpson, spokesman for the Eden Police Department, the surveillance video came from Friday’s robbery at Starlight Technology – located on Bridge Street.

On Friday morning at 9:17, the Eden Police Department received a 911 call from the business, and the caller said an armed robbery had just taken place.



The caller stated, and the video confirms, that the robber entered the business, pulled a firearm on the clerk, then took an undisclosed amount of money and left the store on foot. The suspect was described as a black male wearing a black hooded jacket, gray t-shirt, black pants and black shoes. The robber also had his face covered during the robbery with some type of stocking or mask that was dark grey in color.

The Friday morning robbery of Starlight Technology was the fourth robbery in a week’s time. The first robbery occurred on Friday night, January 20th, at the Super Mart on Hamilton Street. The second robbery occurred last Monday night, January 23rd, at the Shoe Show on Pierce Street, then the third robbery, also on Monday night, January 23rd, was at Tees Pizza on Fieldcrest Road. Then came the fourth robbery at Starlight Technology on Bridge Street.

According to Lt. Simpson, the Eden Police is investigating a possible connection in these robbery cases.
