The Eden Police Department is requesting assistance in locating Catherine Brooke Joyce (14 years old) of Eden, North Carolina.  Brooke Joyce is listed as a runaway with the Eden Police Department and the Eden Police Department is actively looking for Brooke and any information concerning her location at this time.

To assist Norfolk Southern Railroad with ongoing track maintenance operations, the North Carolina Department of Transportation will temporarily close various railroad crossings in Caswell and Rockingham counties.

The Rockingham County Schools has named new administrators for the 2012-2013 school year.

A former inmate at Green Rock Correctional Center in Chatham pled guilty this morning to fraud charges in the United States District Court for the Western District of Virginia which is held in Danville.

The Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office is reporting that someone has stolen a horse from the Reidsville area.

Rockingham County is feeling the sting of war.

That’s because Staff Sgt. Brandon Eggleston, a part of the US Army's Special Forces Unit, died on Thursday.
